Although I was born and raised a Catholic, it was in 2007 when I began to really have a relationship with God after writing three simple words in my journal on New Year’s Day morning – Be more spiritual.  I don’t think I knew what that meant to me specifically, but God did.  I can look back now and see the big and small ways He was moving in my life.  However, years later I found myself in a dark and dry place spiritually, so I began see a Spiritual Director once a month. The change didn’t happen overnight, but those changes were enormous and significant.  Through the listening presence of my Spiritual Director, I have gained so much clarity on issues in my life and other questions or struggles that I’ve had.  I’ve always felt a strong connection to Jesus and my love for Him is very deep but my monthly spiritual direction sessions have drawn me closer to God.  The wonderful thing is that the wisdom and knowledge came from the Spirit within me.

Eventually, I wanted to take my relationship with Him to another level and to also help others find a deeper level of peace and faith in their lives.  That began my quest to become a Spiritual Director and I received my Certificate from the Franciscan Spirituality Center in La Crosse, WI after completing their 3-year intensive Spiritual Direction Preparation Program. It’s an honor for me to journey with directees in their search for answers, clarity, and understanding.  I look forward to being your spiritual companion!

My spirituality is based on – my belief in, faith in, and love of – the Holy Trinity. Though I am a Christian, I am open to and accept the spirituality of others in whatever form that takes. I’m active at church as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, and Acolyte. I enjoy journaling and I personally prefer to write my prayers in a prayer journal.  I also practice Centering Prayer, the Examen, Contemplative Prayer, and Taize Prayer (one of my favorites). My husband and I are blessed with two lovable dogs, two noisy guinea pigs, and 13 wonderful Godchildren.  I personally enjoy writing, reading, and painting but together, my husband and I enjoy road trips, playing with the pups, movie nights with popcorn, and sharing our faith in God with each other.
